New non-profit supports NH high school students with educational travel scholarships

CONCORD, NHย โ€“ The Passport to Knowledge Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization founded in 2025,ย is soliciting tax-deductible donations for its program which provides travel scholarships to New Hampshire high school students. The organization offers scholarships for educational-based travel experiences, with the goal of helping students experience cultural, educational, and personal growth through travel.

Kelly Cooke, President & Founder of The Passport to Knowledge Foundation, knows firsthand the transformative power of traveling.

โ€œAs a high school student, I participated in an educational tour to Europe that opened my eyes beyond the classroom and ignited my passion for travel,โ€ Cooke said. โ€œThat experience played a key role in shaping my career and my life.โ€ย  The Foundationโ€™s mission is to provide support to NH high school students that may need financial assistance and to encourage them to expand their horizons, challenge their perspectives, and see the world.

Cooke is also the owner of Terrapin Tours – a group tour company based in NH โ€“ which provided over $12,000 in scholarships prior to the formation of The Passport to Knowledge Foundation. With the creation of the Foundation, Cooke hopes to increase awareness of the scholarship program and to provide greater financial support to eligible students. The Foundation is currently soliciting tax-deductible donations that will help provide scholarships to students across the state, with the goal of assisting every student who seeks to broaden their horizons through travel.

โ€œOur goal is simple,โ€ said Cooke. โ€œWe want to help more students experience the life-changing benefits of educational travelโ€”because we know just how powerful those experiences can be.โ€ ย The Passport to Knowledge Foundation is encouraging New Hampshire high school students who are participating in educational-based travel opportunities to apply.ย

โ€œWhether itโ€™s the chance to gain independence and confidence, or to deepen your knowledge and understanding of other cultures – the benefits of travel are endless and we encourage all students with a desire to travel to apply for a scholarship because we would love to support you in your endeavors.โ€
