MANCHESTER, NH – Next News and Brews with Ink Link Publisher Carol Robidoux Diz’s Wednesday, March 18, 2026
If you receive the Manchester InkLink’s free daily email news feed, you might have noticed last month’s quiet and understated posting by publisher Carol Robidoux. The small photo with it did little to reveal what really happens at this monthly gathering of community at Diz’s.
The brainchild of Carol Robidoux and Judi Window of Diz’s, this “supper club plus” is an opportunity to join their local news conversation roundtable from 4pm – 7pm. There’s no pressure. If you have a topic you want explored, or a burning question to ask, you can just jot it down on a blank slip of paper and toss it into the tall top hat Carol brings for the occasion.

As a contributor and advisor to InkLink News, I’ve attended and participated in several of these community conversation focused evenings. And, really, I just can’t let it go under the radar. Last month, more than 24 people attended and it looked like we might have commandeered nearly half the space, yet there was still plenty of room for diners who came looking for their own quiet space.
That separation and privacy was still available if you planned an evening out and not interested in the event. Our group was showcased near the window. Carol is at her best as a convener of people. That top hat was filled with dozens of topics to explore.
BUILDING COMMUNITY TRUST
Gathering together in a small family owned restaurant, by an independent community media source is how we build local connections that strengthen the community. Working together to elevate successes and solve problems is the perfect antidote to the hostility that festers on social media platforms.

Folks who joined Carol were there to talk together, ask questions, share, explore without acrimony or anger or sniping as is common online. All of the deadly sins of social media platforms are absent when we’re all in the same room eating food and talking together. In fact, what was most noticeable was how civilized a group we became.
If you are overwhelmed by national news snippets, come join us. If you are worried about the future, the way forward is by working in groups and building each other up. That’s what took place last month. You Are Not Alone. Join with others who care about where we live and what’s happening. Last month Peter White was there with his radio crowd. Some faces we’ve seen in aldermanic chambers attended. As participants.
