CONCORD, NH – Two award-winning early childhood resources for educators and care providers of young children are being offered together as one workshop in New Hampshire.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is supporting these four-hour workshops which are being offered at a substantially reduced rate. Joint workshops featuring Growing Up WILD, sponsored in the state by NH Fish and Game, and Project Learning Tree’s Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood are scheduled in several locations.
Workshops are scheduled for April 11, in Bartlett; April 25, in Wilmot; and May 9 in Holderness (Owl Brook). Additionally, workshops can be scheduled at schools or childcare centers, with a minimum of 15 participants.
These supplementary education programs for young learners are designed to connect children ages 3 – 7 with nature and the outdoors. These programs support educators and care providers by engaging young children in activities that encourage exploration of the natural world. Written by educators and wildlife professionals, and reviewed by experts in early childhood education, the activity guides provide an early foundation for developing active, healthy children who enjoy nature and are prepared to enter school with necessary learning skills.
