DIXVILLE, NH โ€“ The first six Presidential Primary voters in America have spoken.

Just minutes after midnight on Tuesday, Dixville Notch provided an early victory to Nikki Haley, marking the official beginning of the 2024 New Hampshire Primary and the first secret ballots cast in the 2024 U.S. Presidential nominating process.

Haley earned all six votes from the townshipโ€™s voters, all of which are connected to the Balsams Resort.

Balsams developer Les Otten did not join the other residents of the town during a recent visit to see Haley, but saw the event on an iPad and talked to her on Monday, urging Haley to remain in the contest regardless of Tuesdayโ€™s results.

โ€œI think this was just six people who were sick of the bullshit,โ€ he said. โ€œI thought she was the best option. Sheโ€™s been positive about 95 percent of the time, sheโ€™s only really gone negative over the last 72 hours. Itโ€™s hard to know when youโ€™re tired of being told the worldโ€™s falling apart.โ€

Dixville Notch has the only midnight voting in New Hampshire this year, with Hartโ€™s Location and Millsville withdrawing their midnight voting traditions this cycle in favor of daylight voting hours.

Most polling places across the state are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
