Oct. 27 book-signing : Author Alison Downs explores devastation of Alzheimer’s with ‘Ladybird Adrift’

MANCHESTER, NH โ€” Local author Alison Downs penned her debut Ladybird Adrift to raise awareness for Alzheimerโ€™s and the effects it can have on the entire family. Downs’ publisher seems to agree, as their website states, โ€œAn Alzheimerโ€™s diagnosis does not just change the patientโ€™s life, it changes family dynamicsโ€ฆ Everyone is affected.โ€

Downs will appear at The Bookery, 844 Elm St., on Oct. 27ย  at 7 p.m. to again raise awareness about Alzheimerโ€™s, and autographs copies of her novel.

Ladybird Adrift has been praised by readers for its emotionally raw candor depicting how the disease affects patient and family alike.
