MANCHESTER, NH — A woman who was rushed to the hospital for a heroin overdose has been charged with being involved in a bank robbery about an hour earlier.
Melissa Boucher was charged with the robbery at Members First Credit Union after she was discharged from the hospital Tuesday.
About one hour after the 9 a.m. bank robbery police responded to 455 Pine Street for a report of a heroin overdose. The female victim of the heroin overdose was rushed to the Elliot Hospital. A police officer assigned at the Elliot Hospital noticed the clothing worn by the woman brought in by ambulance matched the description of the clothing worn by the bank robbery suspect, and contacted detectives assigned to the case.
Detectives eventually identified and charged Boucher with the unarmed bank robbery.
She was taken to police headquarters after she was medically cleared from the hospital. Bail was set at $30,000 cash/surety. She will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on Wednesday March 4, 2015.
Detectives also completed an arrest warrant for Derek Potocki, 30, of Manchester, for his alleged involvement in the bank robbery, for conspiracy to commit robbery. Police are currently seeking the public’s help in locating Potocki.
