Arts & Culture, Latest News, Community

When you come through the doors of the Palace Theatre, youโ€™re entering one of the finest historic theatres in the nation, a true gem in our city, state and region. However, behind the scenes, the Palace and Rex Theatres are more than just venues for incredible professional and youth productions and performances enjoyed by over 160,000 patrons during the year!

This past year, more than 1,200 young actors between the ages of 7 and 18 learned about the fundamentals of live art and performing through educational programs and vacation and summer camps offered by the staff of Palace Youth Theatre.

Thousands more enjoyed matinee shows for students. In addition, adults, teens, and children participated in the dance, voice, college prep and acting classes offered to the community as part of Palace Academy.

Palace & Rex Theatres as Community Spaces

The Palace and Rex Theatres also serve as community spaces for area residents to gather for informational events and programming. Theyโ€™re economic drivers, generating millions of dollars in revenue for restaurants and businesses and employing hundreds of individuals annually.

Palace Theatre: “Ticket Sales are not enough”

We are fortunate to have committed patrons, strong membership and bustling venues; however, ticket revenues alone are not enough to sustain our offerings. Your gift to the 2024 Palace Theatresโ€™ Annual Fund shows your commitment to protecting the future of our productions, community programming, and the important, educational instruction offered through Palace Youth Theatre and Palace Academy.
