At an event dubbed “Books, Not Bullets” on August 26 at West High School, Chris Pappas criticized “the misguided proposal by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to use federal funds to buy guns for schools.” Pappas has been endorsed by the National Education Association – New Hampshire, the largest union in the state, as well as the American Federation of Teachers – New Hampshire.
