Penmen earn individual soccer honors

HOOKSETT, NH – This week, players on the Southern New Hampshire University men’s and women’s soccer programs were honored by a variety of organizations.

Alex Satrustegui led the way, named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America Second Team as well as the United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team and the NE-10 All-Conference First Team.

A native of Pamplona, Spain, Satrustegui scored in 11 of his first 12 matches, including six straight to begin the year and registered six multi-goal performances on the way to a grabbing 19 goals on the season.

Satrustegui is joined by Tom Marriott (Nottingham, England), Collyns Laokandi (Paris, France) and Kiko Hernandez (Madrid, Spain) on the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Team.

On the women’s side, Samantha Sparda (Scarborough, Maine), Ariana Silvia (Brockton, Mass.) and Sydney Crema (Litchfield, NH) were also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Team, with Sparda also earning a spot on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association East All-Regional Second Team and NE-10 All-Conference First Team.
