Pinkerton grad headed to national scholarship competition

Ella Dionne, a 2025 Pinkerton Academy grad, will compete for the Miss Teen Volunteer USA scholarhip award,

CANDIA, NH – Ella Dionne, Pinkerton ’25, was crowned Miss Maine Teen Volunteer and will compete for the Miss Teen Volunteer America crown and scholarships in Jackson, TN next week.  Dionne is an award-winning dancer, trained at New Hampshire School of Ballet with Jennifer Beauvais.  She will perform a lyrical dance for her talent.

The Miss Maine Teen Volunteer competition is part of the Miss Volunteer America organization, which emphasizes Scholarship, Education, Responsibility, Volunteerism, and Empowerment (S.E.R.V.E.).  Ella has made a positive impact on the lives of others through her S.E.R.V.E. initiative, “Pay it Forward – Supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”  Ella participated in the St Jude Walk Boston, hosted a fundraiser with Jared Jewelers, and has taught dance workshops across Maine and New Hampshire to benefit St Jude.

“I am incredibly honored to be Miss Maine Teen Volunteer 2026 and have loved my year of service, encouraging volunteerism in our communities, and meeting so many wonderful people.”  Ella is now a freshman at the University of New Hampshire on a pre-med track.

The Miss Teen Volunteer America scholarship competition was launched by the DeMarcus Family (from country supergroup Rascal Flatts and the Netflix series “DeMarcus Family Rules.”)  Ella will compete in the areas of interview, talent, fitness, and evening gown against talented young women from across the nation in the quest for the national title, Miss America Teen Volunteer.  Preliminary Competition will take place at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, TN, on March 5-6, 2026 7 p.m. CST Finals March 7, 2026 3:30 p.m. CST.  Friends and fans can watch Ella compete live each night in Jackson at MissVolunteerAmerica.net and follow her year of service @MissMETeenVol
