MANCHESTER, NH — Local, family-owned residential and commercial cleaning company UNI-STAR has teamed up with international non-profit Cleaning For a Reason, and is offering its services for free to those battling cancer.
UNI-STAR co-owners Ryan Van Orden and Amanda Johnson say this kind of service is one that is often overlooked but much appreciated by those going through a difficult time.
“This is something that is extremely important to us, and we are honored to help these amazing individuals,” said Johnson. “From what we’ve learned, when going through cancer treatment the risk for infection can go up and a person’s ability to do certain tasks, including cleaning, can go down. Being part of something bigger than yourself is humbling, and working with these men and women is a blessing.”
Van Orden says the initiative aligns with UNI-STAR’s business model, which is to provide world classservice at an affordable price.
“Our specialists are professionals that are fully trained on the latest cleaning methods and equipment in the industry. We give people more time to do the things they really need to prioritize, especially when dealing with a life-altering illness,” Van Orden said.
