Police agencies across NH to conduct ‘distracted driving’ patrols on June 15

Police from 70 municipalities will be working to ensure a safe graduation season and ushering in a safe motorcycle weekend.


CONCORD, NH โ€“ย Police from across New Hampshire will be coordinating efforts on Monday to help curb distracted driving.

On June 15, 2026, Police Departments from across the state will be conducting coordinated patrols, focused on Distracted Driving. This is a two-pronged effort with education and awareness being the primary focus, the second prong is enforcement, in an attempt to curb dangerous driving behaviors and reduce motor vehicle crashes.

The New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police, has coordinated with over 70 police agencies statewide for this effort. Officers across the state will be patrolling at the same time working to ensure a safe graduation season and ushering in a safe motorcycle weekend.

While officers will be focused on Distracted Driving, they will look to curb all unsafe driving behaviors. These patrols are not granted funded, but a cooperation between law enforcement agencies to further highway safety goals in the State of New Hampshire.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 315,167 people were injured in 2024 due to distracted driving accidents.
