Police arrest man accused of Monday armed robbery at Macy’s

MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ A city man is in custody, charged with an incident from Nov. 5 during which he allegedly pulled a knife on a store security officer who was questioning him about possible shoplifting.

Manchester Police responded to the Mall of New Hampshire at 10:45 a.m. Monday for an armed robbery at Macyโ€™s. The robber, who has since been identified as Nathan Lesage, 24, of 476 Spruce St., allegedly pulled a knife on an asset protection associate who was questioning him about a possible shoplifting incident.ย  Lesage ย allegedly pulled a knife out and threatened to stab the employee before fleeing on foot.

Officers arrested Lesage without incident from a Spruce Street residence around 8 p.m. on Nov. 7 based on the quick work of Detectives Scott Ardita, Ryan Heile and Justin Mangum. Detectives followed up on several crime tips, and ย placed Lesage into custody without incident. He is charged with robbery. He was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear in drug court.

Lesage was scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on November 8, 2018.
