With the assistance of the US Marshal Service and the Manchester SWAT team Henry  Aponte, 21, was arrested in Manchester on May 28. Another man, Justin Salinas, 24, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police earlier this month.

The shooting happened on April 29, 2026. Manchester Police responded to the intersection of Hanover and Beech streets for a ShotSpotter activation. Police also received multiple calls in a short period of time  indicating that gunshots had been fired in the area.

A building on Amherst Street was hit by gunfire and a bullet entered an occupied room. In  talking with witnesses, police learned that a man had agreed to meet up with some people to fight. As he was walking to the agreed upon location, a vehicle pulled in front of him and two people got out and  started to shoot. The male was able to run away without being hit.

Aponte was charged with Attempted First Degree Assault and Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon.  Salinas was previously charged with Attempted First Degree Assault, Reckless Conduct with a Deadly  Weapon, and Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon.
