MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ The Manchester Police Department responded to a four-car crash on the Amoskeag Rotary at 6:45 p.m. on August 21, 2018. Emergency personnel from both AMR Ambulance and the Manchester Fire Department immediately rendered aid to Danielle Jacques, 39, of Manchester who was the passenger of the 2000 Ford Taurus operated by Patricia Shannon, 64, of Nashua, New Hampshire.

Jacques sustained serious injuries to both legs and was removed from the vehicle. Shannon was trapped in the vehicle and was extracted by emergency workers after the jaws of life were used. She, too, sustained serious injuries to her legs, head and chest. Both were transported to an area hospital and remain hospitalized due to the severity of the injuries sustained.

Shannon allegedly failed to stop while speeding toward three vehicles stopped at the posted red light in the northbound lane on the Amoskeag Rotary. Her unsafe actions caused the crash, which caused a chain reaction involving a total of four vehicles.

Shannon rear-ended a 2017 Ford F35 truck, operated by Benjamin Heselton, 28, of Bedford. Heselton and his passenger, Josiah Zachary, 20, of Manchester, were not injured as a result of the crash. The impact of the crash caused his Ford truck to strike the rear of a 2017 Subaru Outback operated by Kelly Parker, 36, of Goffstown.

Parkerโ€™s Subaru struck the rear of a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, which was operated by John Lynch Jr., 63, of Antrim. Neither Parker nor Lynch were injured in the crash. The Ford Taurus received extensive damage due to the impact of the crash. The other three vehicles sustained minor damage.
