Police say man fired gun at motorist on 101 in road rage incident

A Manchester man was charged with felony reckless conduct following a road rage incident Saturday night on Route 101 during which he allegedly fired his gun at another motorist.

According to State Police, on September 6, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m.ย ย Trooper First Class Gary Ingham responded to a call from a woman who said someone had fired a gun at her while she was driving on Route 101 in Exeter. Inghamย spotted a vehicle thatย matched the description given of the driver and vehicle, heading eastboundย in Hampton, east of Landing Road. ย Ingham initiated a motor vehicle stop and subsequently arrested the driver, ย Timothy W. High, 29, of Manchester.

During a search of the vehicle a Smith & Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun was found. Upon further investigation,ย Ingham was able to determine that High did fire the handgunย on Route 101 while involved in a road rage incident with an female driver, whose name was not released.

High was charged with felonyย reckless conduct, and he is due to appear in the 10th Circuit Court-Brentwood District on September 8, 2014.ย  Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Inghamย atย New Hampshire State Police Troop-A barracksย at (603) 223-8490.
