Police warn of rash of car break-ins on city’s West Side, seek surveillance video from 15 locations

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police are investigating a series of recent car break-ins that have occurred on the  city’s West Side. Between August 4 and August 26, numerous vehicles were broken into and valuables were taken. 

The incidents happened on at least 15 different streets, with most occurring during the early morning hours. In many cases, the vehicles had been left unlocked. 

During the course of the investigation, detectives also learned that security cameras in the affected neighborhoods were tampered with. 

The following streets were hit during this timeframe: 

  • Montgomery Street
  • Dubuque Street
  • Cleveland Street 
  • Blodget Street
  • Amory Street
  • McGregor Street 
  • Rimmon Street
  • Bremer Street
  • Putnam Street 
  • Kelley Street
  • Boynton Street
  • Youville Street 
  • Cartier Street
  • Amory Court
  • Alsace Street 

Police are asking residents in these areas to review any home surveillance footage for suspicious  activity, such as individuals looking into vehicles or entering private property during the  timeframe mentioned.

Police would also like to remind all residents to lock their vehicle doors, remove valuables, and  remain vigilant.
