Ribbon is cut on Bedford’s funky diner, The Friendly Toast

BEDFORD, NH – It was a beautiful day for a ribbon cutting, and The Friendly Toast took full advantage of big blue skies to hold its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 22. Heather Avella of the Greater Manchester Chamber was on hand to say a few words and welcome the family-friendly eatery into the regional fold of restaurants offering something for everyone.

Mayor Joyce Craig was also invited to say a few words, extending the community spirit beyond Manchester’s city limits and acknowledging shared interest in making Greater Manchester a vibrant and welcoming destination.

This is the second New Hampshire rendition of The Friendly Toast – many have waited in line for a seat at the Portsmouth location. The Bedford outpost, which opened April 29, is the sixth in The Friendly Toast family of restaurants, with three locations in Massachusetts, and one in Vermont. Kids eat free on Wednesday.

Click here to check out the menu, and if you haven’t yet found your way there, you can find it at 125 S. River Road, across from the new Trader Joe’s and within shopping distance of Whole Foods. You’ll also want to frolic in the grassy knoll that, according to General Manager PJ Maratos, will double as an ice skating rink during winter months.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

The Friendly Toast serves Breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
