Hurricane Season begins June 1

NOAA National Weather Service forecasters at the Climate Prediction Center predict above-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic basin this year. NOAA’s outlook for the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, which spans from June 1 to November 30, predicts an 85% chance of an above-normal season, a 10% chance of a near-normal season, and a 5% chance of a below-normal season.

Northwest winds will be approximately 35 mph, decreasing to around 25 mph in the afternoon. Wind gusts may reach up to 50 mph. The wind chill values could be as low as 19 in the morning.
Elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire Today: The forecast is mostly sunny with highs in the lower 60s. Expect northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
