His new world continues to revolve around ayahuasca, a tea brewed from a combination of plants native to South America that its adherents say has healing properties. Januszewski, 46, with tattooed arms and a trimmed beard, is the pastor of Pachamama Sanctuary, a religious organization he founded off of a wooded road in Canterbury that serves ayahuasca to its guests several times each month. Since opening in 2019, Januszewski says he has welcomed close to 2,000 people to the three-bedroom house he rents for a weekend of psychedelic exploration.

Following a similar meeting earlier in the summer on the topic, community members and local non-profit leaders gathered at Parkside Middle School to share their thoughts at the proposed Mark Stebbins Community Center planned just a few hundred feet down the street.

The participants (cars and motorcycles) must visit five checkpoints, drawing a  playing card at each one. This year is a “tasty tour” of some amazing NH donut shops! The Chichester Country Store, The Bakeshop at Northwoods Brewing, and Heav’nly Donuts will be participating.  The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. Having the best hand and winning is purely a matter of chance. The event is being held Sunday September 18, 2022.  Begin at Manchester Harley Davidson after 9 a.m. and come “show your hand” at the Auburn Pitts in Auburn by 1 p.m.

The New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council recently switched over to a new record-keeping system that will track the race and gender of incoming police academy classes, allowing for statewide statistics for future police ranks that haven’t previously been kept.

On Tuesday night, the Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen deemed a piece of land just south of Parkside Middle School as surplus and then determined that it is in the best interest of the city to sell it for $600,000 to a group seeking to build a new community center named after late philanthropist and businessman Mark Stebbins on the site.
