Six men arrested, 2 officers hurt, following Hanover Street altercation

MANCHESTER, NH – On Friday afternoon, the Manchester Police Department released details regarding an early morning altercation on Hanover Street leading to the injury of several police officers.

At approximately 1 a.m., several officers responded to the Glow Bar on Hanover Street following a noise complaint by a nearby resident.

Upon arrival, the officers spotted a group of men yelling at the club’s bouncers.

While the officers attempted to remove several members of the crowd from the bar, other members of the crowd allegedly attacked them, with Officer Michael Roscoe Jr. reporting a concussion sustained from the attacks.

Additional officers were then sent to the scene to pacify the situation.

Several arrests followed in relation to the incident.

  • Chasrick Heredia, 24, of Kennard Road in Manchester was charged with alleged second degree assualt, riot and two counts of resisting arrest.
  • Joshua Heredia, 25, of Kennard Road in Manchester was charged with alleged second degree assult, riot, simple assault and hindering apprehension.
  • Jeff Taylor, 24, of Ainsworth Avenue in Manchester was charged with alleged riot.
  • Jose Ortiz De La Cruz, 25, of Old Nashua Road in Londonderry was charged with alleged riot, three counts of simple assault and resisting arrest.
  • Justin Johnston, 22, of Knowlton Street in Manchester was charged with alleged riot, simple assault, resisting arrest.
  • Stephan Erich, 27 of Douglas Street in Manchester was charged with alleged simple assault and riot.

All six men were arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court North on Friday.  No additional court dates were released at this time. Anyone mentioned is legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
