MANCHESTER, NH – Wonderland Books & Toys is kicking off the holiday season with a weekend full of family-friendly events, giveaways, and community support opportunities from Friday, November 28 through Sunday, November 30.
Manchester’s only independent children’s book and toy store invites families, holiday shoppers, and book lovers of all ages to join in the fun with exclusive in-store specials, bonus rewards, and festive activities.
Throughout the three-day period, multiple special offers will be available to shoppers:
- The first ten customers each day who make a purchase can select three free Wigglitz, our adorable 3D-printed critters available in regular and holiday designs.
- Customers who spend $50 or more can choose from a free store-branded vinyl tote bag or take $7 off a store-branded canvas zip tote.
- Customers enrolled in our new Wonderland Rewards program will earn 1.5 rewards point per dollar on qualifying purchases instead of the usual 1 reward point per dollar.
“We want to take the opportunity that Black Friday and Small Business Saturday offer to say ‘Thank you’ to our regular customers and invite first-time visitors to see our curated selection of children’s books, toys and games, many of which are not available at other retailers in the Manchester area,” said owner Deirdre A.L. Shaw.
In addition, several special events are planned over the weekend:
- Saturday from 1– 3 p.m.: FREE Temporary Tattoos
- Saturday at 3 p.m.: Saturday Storytime with special guest reader Ashley
- Sunday from 3-5 p.m.: FREE Skillmatics Foil Fun Holiday Ornaments: Kids ages 4+ can make a shimmering foil ornament to keep or gift. Limited to the first 25 participants
Throughout the holiday season, gift wrapping is available with a donation of cash or non-perishable food to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank.
“With the cost of groceries continuing to rise, it’s more important than ever to help make sure that no child or family goes hungry, especially during the holiday season,” Shaw said.

Wonderland Books and Toys is located at 245 Maple Street #12 in Manchester, NH (at the corner of Maple and Valley) and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. as well as Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m. through December 28. The store features a curated selection of quality books, toys and games for infants through young adults. An event room is available to rent for birthday parties, baby showers, community meetings and other events.
