MANCHESTER, NH – On Friday, November 2, led by Peter Kelleher, aka The Soup Man of Bridgewater, MA., and Manchester Ward 10 Alderman Bill Barry, a group of individuals will deliver 200 backpacks to Liberty House. The backpacks will then be filled with socks, toiletries and other items to help assist homeless veterans throughout the Manchester community.

“I am very proud of all of the work that the Liberty House does on a daily basis and I applaud the efforts of my good friends Bill “Zeke” Zarakotas and Executive Director Jeff Nelson,” said Alderman Barry.

The delivery, which will take place around 11 a.m., will kick off what the Liberty House hopes is a large number of donations for local homeless veterans. For those looking to donate, Liberty House has stated they’re in desperate need of backpacks and warm clothing for the upcoming cold weather.

“It’s important we keep our veterans in our thoughts throughout the year,” added Alderman Barry.

Donated items can be dropped off at Liberty House, 75 West Baker St., Manchester, NH 03101.
