MANCHESTER, NH – Another busy weekend if you choose to accept your mission of squeezing the most out of summer. We’ve got a range of activities, excitement, celebrations and opportunities in the mix below.


Multi-Day Event

August 23-24 Greekfest, Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Manchester, NH – Come join us for delicious Greek food, music and dancing! Opa! Celebrate all things Greek this weekend with homemade Greek cuisine and pastries, fine jewelry, crafts, ethnic and religious items, and gift card and basket raffles. Saturday, August 23: 11 am – 9 pm; Sunday, August 24: 11 am – 7 pm.


August 21

CelebratED Back-to-School Event, Victory Park and French Hall, Manchester, NH – Back for its 5th year, we’re taking a bold new step by focusing directly on supporting students as they head back to school. This year’s Back-to-School event will offer: Backpack & School Supply Distribution; Haircuts & Clothing Support; Family Resource Fair; School Registration Assistance. We’re bringing together community partners to streamline resources, reduce barriers, and celebrate students as they return to school ready and confident. The event will take place Thursday, August 21, from 4 – 7 pm in Victory Park and at French Hall, located at 148 Concord St.

Young Professional Social hosted by Nashua Young Professionals, Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant, Nashua, NH – Don’t miss our end-of-summer social at Marg’s Mex this Thursday! This month, we are changing it up and adding networking bingo into the mix for the chance to win a gift card. This will be a night of networking, delicious bites, and beverages while meeting like-minded individuals in the area. If you are new to GNYP we encourage you to bring a friend or a co-worker. This event is open to the public and is 21+ only. The social will take place Thursday, August 21 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant at 1 Nashua Dr in Nashua. Space is limited.

Queen City Improv Free Open Session, UU Manchester, Manchester, NH – Join Queen City Improv for a FREE night of playing improv games with them and the community. The open session will take place Thursday, August 21 from 6 – 8 pm at UU Manchester located at 669 Union St. Register here.

Screenagers: Free Movie Screening, Chunky’s Cinema Pub, Manchester, NH – Join Crispin’s House Coalition for Youth for a free screening of Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age—a powerful documentary exploring the impact of screen time and technology on today’s youth and families. Now updated for 2025 with the latest science, research, and expert insights, Screenagers is an award-winning documentary that dives into the challenges families face in this digital age. The screening will take place Thursday, August 21, from 6 – 8:30 pm at Chunky’s Cinema Pub, located 707 Huse Road. This event is open to the public—parents, teens, educators, and community members are all encouraged to attend!


August 22

Cody Pope | Entering the 36th Chamber, The Spot, Nashua, NH – Cody Pope returns for his first solo show in nearly 3 years. As he enters the 36th lap of his life, it seemed important to do a retrospective set to show how he got here and where he’s headed. This is the weekend before his birthday, so friends, family, fans, are all encouraged to join us. This is an ALL AGES event, as our host venue, The Spot, is an alcohol-free social lounge featuring mocktails, coffee, tea, and so much more. We’ll have a photobooth, vendors, and more as well! Purchase pre-sale tickets for $10 here. The show will take place Friday, August 22 at the Spot, located at 217 Main St. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Show starts at 8:30 pm.

CHILLFEST 2025, Stark Brewing Company, Manchester, NH – Join us for our second annual CHILLFEST with FREE live music by the river! Enjoy amazing live bands and enjoy singing, dancing, friends, family and fun outdoors! Stark Brewing Company food and drink will be available for purchase! This event will take place Friday, August 22, 6:30 – 9:30 pm at Stark Brewing Company.


August 23

Manchester City Library Summer Book Sale, Manchester, NH – The Summer Book Sale will take place on Saturday, August 23, from 10 am – 1 pm in the Winchell Room. The pricing will be $10 per average sized grocery bag. Cash or check only please. Please note, the library can only accept cash or check for payment. Bring your own bag or we can provide one. Fill it up with whatever materials can fit! Individual items can also be purchased for $2 each for hardcover books and $1 each for most other materials. Bark in the Park Dog-Friendly Food Truck Festival, Rollins Park, Concord, NH – Each ticket comes with doggy admission! Save money by buying tickets online ahead of time. Pre-purchased tickets come with a special gift. Kids, adults, and of course – their furry companions – are welcome! This dog-friendly event will take place on Saturday, August 23, from 10 am – 3 pm at Rollins Park in Concord.

MY TURN’S 5th Annual Peace Fest X Chandler’s Ball, Sheridan-Emmett Park, Manchester, NH – Join us for a celebration of community, connection, and a fresh start to the school year at MY TURN’s 5th Annual Peace Fest! Chandler’s Ball — a special tribute hosted in collaboration with Chandler’s Angels Initiative, and the culminating event of the Queen City Hoops League, presented by MY TURN and Manchester Parks & Rec! Whether you’re a student, parent, neighbor, or community champion, Peace Fest is a powerful way to come together, uplift one another, and send our kids into the school year prepared and proud. Everything is completely free — because everyone deserves a strong start. This event will take place Saturday, August 23, from 11 am – 4 pm at Sheridan-Emmett Park.

Studio 550’s Monster Hunt, Manchester, NH – The Monster Hunt returns to Downtown Manchester. This is the 13th year of the family-friendly outdoor art hunt, where Studio 550 makes 100 red clay monsters and hides them downtown. Studio 550 hopes that by putting art out in the streets people will find joy in walking their city in search of the unexpected. The public all ages hunt begins after a kick-off meeting at 11 am at City Hall Plaza. Saturday, August 23, from 11 am – 1 pm, Studio 550 will be hosting a number of low-cost or free hands-on activities at 550 Elm Street.

Nostalgic Book Fair Day, Spyglass Brewing Company, Nashua, NH – Rediscover the magic of book fair day! This event will take place Saturday, August 23, from 12 pm – 4 pm at Spyglass Brewing Company in Nashua. Hosted by The Bookery, vendors include NH artisans and local bookstores, and raffle baskets will be available. It’s free and open to the public.

11th Annual Gate City Brewfest presented by Gate City Casino, Holman Stadium, Nashua, NH – Join us at historic Holman Stadium to enjoy a day of fun and entertainment for the whole family. Step up to the plate and join us for a grand slam of craft brews, ballpark bites, and unforgettable moments right on the baseball field. Save the date, gather your crew, and let’s hit it out of the park together! ID Required if you are planning to drink! Live Music is provided by Evolvement Music! Brewfest will take place this Saturday, August 23, from 1 – 5 pm (12 – 5 pm for VIP) at Holman Stadium in Nashua.

New Hampshire Irish Festival, Palace Theatre, Manchester, NH – Join us as we celebrate Manchester and New Hampshire’s Irish Heritage with a one-day festival filled with Irish music by local and international artists. Featuring: Eileen Ivers, Ronan Tynan, Screaming Orphans, Mick McAuley, and The Spain Brothers. The festival will take place Saturday, August 23, at 5pm, at the Palace Theatre.

Punk Rock for a Cause, Terminus Underground, Nashua, NH – Get ready to scream, sing, and rock out at Terminus Underground with a stacked lineup of killer punk bands, all rallying for a cause that matters. We’re turning up the volume and turning out the support for the New Hampshire Reproductive Freedom Fund — because punk’s not just about noise, it’s about action. This isn’t just a show — it’s a rally cry. A portion of the proceeds benefit the NHRFF, helping protect and support reproductive rights across the Granite State. Come rock for a mission, rage with a reason, and make every shout count this Saturday, August 23, from 7 – 11 pm at Terminus Underground in Nashua.


August 24

2nd Annual Cars, Robots, and Coffee, Merrimack High School, Merrimack, NH – For the second year, Chop Shop 166, Merrimack High School’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team will be hosting a Cars, Robots, and Coffee event at Merrimack High School on Sunday August 24, from 8 am – 12 pm. The event is a blend of a traditional Cars and Coffee event mixed with demonstrations from local FIRST Robotics teams. 

3rd Annual FREE Back-To-School haircuts event, Get Faded Barbershop, Manchester, NH Get Faded Barbershop is once again is hosting a FREE haircut event to help kids get ready for their return to school. Sunday, August 24, from 12 – 8 pm, children can receive a free haircut along with free school supplies at the Third Annual Back-to-School FREE Haircut Event.

Free Public Concert Featuring the 19-piece Compaq Big Band, Stark Park, Manchester, NH – Alas, you know that Summer 2025’s been *WAY* too short when the 19-piece Compaq Big Band is honored once again to be selected to perform at the finale of the popular Stark Park concert series in the north end of Manchester, New Hampshire on Sunday August. Our 14th consecutive year celebrating the end of another Friends of Stark Park great season! The park and bandstand are a picturesque setting for this FREE public event. Just bring a blanket and/or lawn chair. The show runs Sunday, August 24, from 2 – 4 pm. Weather Permitting Only. In the event of rain, the concert will be postponed to Sunday September 7, same time (but no other rain date).

School of Rock Nashua Season Summer Finale, Spyglass Brewing Company, Nashua, NH – Come see our performing groups put on a season finale show on Sunday, August 24 from 2 – 5 pm at Spyglass Brewing Company. Live Performances By: Rock 101 Band; Performance Group Band: “Arena Rock”; Adult Band. Plus a special tribute to OZZY!
