MANCHESTER, NH – Tom Boucher, Owner and CEO of Great NH Restaurants, Inc., has been named the Chair of this year’s Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) Annual Dinner and Citizen of the Year Celebration to be held on April 19, 2018 at the Manchester Downtown Hotel.
Boucher’s role as Owner & CEO of Great NH Restaurants, Inc., has provided strong leadership and entrepreneurial vision that has guided the company’s 3 restaurant brands, Copper Door, Cactus Jack’s, and T-Bone’s, to its current success with 9 restaurants in the brand’s portfolio. Most recently he has broadened his innovative business approach by opening T-Bones Meats, Sweets & Catering, www.WeCaterGreater.com a commissary and custom order storefront,www.TheScribbit.com a graphic design and web development company, www.Kriddik.com, a private feedback system for businesses and creating Great NH Restaurants’ own non-profit, www.FEEDNH.org.
Boucher sits on the Board of Directors for FEEDNH.org, with the mission to strengthen New Hampshire communities through philanthropic collaboration, dedicated employee involvement and volunteerism benefiting local families, elderly education and the disadvantaged. Over the past 30+ years, Great NH Restaurants has donated over $1,000,000 in dining certificates and has raised more than $180,000 through annual fundraising drives to benefit thousands of highly deserving New Hampshire based organizations.
Boucher has been involved in the betterment of the greater Manchester community for many years, serving on several boards and non-profit organizations including: The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, National Restaurant Association Board of Directors, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation and the NH Lodging & Restaurant Association. He has also been honored with the following achievement awards: National Restaurant Association Advocacy Leadership Award, Business New Hampshire Magazine Hospitality & Tourism Business of the Year, NH Business Review’s Excellence in Business Award for Hospitality, National Restaurant Association Good Neighbor Award and the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association’s Restauranteur of the Year.
The GMCC will announce their Citizen of the Year honoree prior to the Annual Dinner. This year’s dinner will be held on April 19, 2018 at the Manchester Downtown Hotel (formerly the Radisson Hotel). With Boucher’s leadership as Annual Dinner Chair, the GMCC expects a sellout event. Since 1954, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has presented one outstanding individual with the Citizen of the Year award. This group of individuals has been paramount in shaping the local community through the history of Manchester and the region. The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual with outstanding leadership and citizenship in the community, while demonstrating exemplary vision, civic pride and commitment to the betterment of society.
