Tornado watch for NH in effect until 7 p.m.


GRAY, MAINE – A “Tornado Watch” has been issued by the National Weather Service as of 1: 40 p.m. for New Hampshire and remains in effect until 7 p.m.

The warning is for the entire state. According to NWS tornadoes can occur at any time of day or night and at any time of the year.

A tornado watch means conditions are right for a tornado to develop, and to be prepared. A Tornado Warning means a tornado has been sighted or indicated by radar; take action immediately.

Although tornadoes are most common in the Central Plains and the southeastern United States, they have been reported in all 50 states, including New Hampshire.

Thursday’s forecast also includes the threat of thunder storms, which could be severe at times.
