HOOKSETT, NH – At approximately 7:45 a.m. a tractor-trailer hauling Idaho potatoes traveling north on Interstate-93 just south of Exit 10 lost control, slamming into the guard rail on the right side of the road and skidding across the four lanes, striking the bridge over the Merrimack River.

Hooksett Fire and NH State Police responded to the scene, and treated and transported a female passenger of the tractor-trailer, Diane Sywassink, 53, to the Elliot Hospital as a precaution for complaint of minor back pain.   No one else was injured as a result of this crash.

The operator was found at fault for this crash and was cited for traveling too fast for the existing road conditions.

Due to the location of the cab and trailer, the left two lanes had to be closed for approximately three hours.

Duval’s Towing and Recovery mitigated leaking fluids, disconnected the cab and towed it.
