MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police made two arrests on Jan. 14 after investigating citizen complaints of prostitution in the area of Manchester and Maple streets.
Charged with prostitution were Thomas Brown, 55, of Goffstown, and Macy Laplante, 26, of Manchester.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. police were monitoring the area of Manchester and Maple streets when they observed a woman, later identified as Laplante, who was approaching different vehicles passing by until she was picked up by one male driver, later identified as Brown. They drove together to the East Side Plaza on Hanover Street and parked in a remote area of the parking lot, police said.
After a few minutes officers approached Brown’s vehicle and they say they witnessed Laplante inside the vehicle performing a sex act on Brown, who had allegedly paid LaPlante $40 to do so.
Brown was released on $500 personal recognizance.
Bail for Laplante was set at $500 cash/surety. She was transferred to the Hillsborough County House of Correction and was due for arraignment on the charge in District Court on Jan. 15.
