MANCHESTER, NH — As part of several clean-up projects this week (see below for more dates) throughout the city of Manchester, the ASEZ volunteer group took their cause to Allard Drive on May 5. About 50 students from Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire picked up trash along the roadside, and Mayor Joyce Craig pitched in, too. The group hopes to reduce crime by improving the environment. See what the volunteers found during their mission.
There are more clean-ups scheduled this week around the city:
- May 8 All Hands In NH and city Parks and Rec are partnering with B&M Railroad for a clean-up along railroad property from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.at the Freight Depot at 280 Elm St.;
- May 10 Intown Manchester’s annual Adopt-A-Block downtown clean-up will take place across the city from 1-4 p.m.
- May 11 at 9:30 a.m. We Heart West is organizing a cleanup of Mast Road and Varney St.
