โThis eventย brings together the oldest Latino and African-centered cultural festivals in New Hampshire,โ said Latinos Unidos President, Peter Escalera.ย โThis is an opportunity to support the efforts of these communities while enjoying their culture.โ
Latinos Unidos established the Latino Festival in 2000 and Ujima Collective founded the African/Caribbean Celebration in 2001 to address issues of social isolation and cultural alienation.
Event activities will include music and dance, food, crafts and clothing from around Latin America, across the African continent and throughout the African diaspora.
โWe will celebrate with music and food as we celebrate our unique ancestry, our common cultural heritage and our shared interests, said Ujima Collective Chairman, Willie Miles Jr.
