Cool pattern continues into May

Rain from Wednesday night into Thursday will bring about an inch of precipitation. The bigger story, though, is the chilly air as we wrap up April and head into May. While normal highs are in the mid-60s, temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average.

Elevations for summits above 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Mostly cloudy in the morning, with mountain summits drifting in and out of the clouds. Highs will be in the upper 40s, with southeast winds at 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. Wind chill will make it feel closer to 20 degrees.

Elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Mostly cloudy in the morning, with mountain summits drifting in and out of the clouds. Highs in the lower 50s, and southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph
