Today’s Weather

Chilly weather is expected for trick-or-treating today for Halloween, with some breaks of sunshine and increasing winds. High of 59, with trick-or-treat temperatures around 48 but feeling more like 42. Winds: SW at 10-20+ mph with gusts to near 40 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy & windy. Low 42 (feel like 34) Winds: WSW 15-20+ mph

Saturday (Nov. 1st): Windy (gusts to 40 mph) with partial sunshine. High 54 (feel like 47) Winds: WNW 15-25+

Saturday night (Turn clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed): Mainly clear & cold. Low 36 (feel like 32) Winds: W 10-15 mph

Elevations for summits above 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Summits will be obscured with rain in the morning, followed by likely rain showers in the afternoon. Highs will reach the lower 40s, with southeast winds around 35 mph shifting to the southwest later in the day. Gusts may reach up to 60 mph, and there’s a 90 percent chance of rain. Wind chill values could drop as low as 17.

Elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Expect rain in the morning, followed by likely showers in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the upper 40s. East winds around 25 mph will shift to the west at about 15 mph later in the day, with gusts up to 55 mph. The chance of rain is nearly 100 percent.
