    GOLDENOAK with LIZ SIMMONS/ Bank of NH Stage (Concord) / 8:00pm – DIRECT/x GoldenOak’s music is rooted in the natural landscape- their songs move like a stream, meandering and  weaving in an original yet grounding direction; their music calmly excites its listeners while nestled in  rich folk-influenced sibling harmony. The Maine-based band has built a steady and growing fan base  with this kind of energetic intimacy.     Originally from Waltham Massachusetts, Michael Troy learned to play piano at a very early age. He  also developed a great admiration for Elton John and his music. Michael is a singer/songwriter as well  as an established recording artist. Elton John classics have been part of his performances throughout  his career. In late 2019, Michael Formed “Captain Fantastic” a band comprised of some of his favorite  musicians from the MA/NH area.     AN EVENING WITH RYAN MONTBLEAU / Rex Theatre (Manchester) / 7:30pm– DIRECT/x Montbleau first began performing in the early 2000’s around his native Massachusetts. In the years to  come, he’d go on to collaborate with artists as diverse as Martin Sexton, Trombone Shorty, Tall Heights,  and Galactic, and rack up more than 100 million streams on Spotify alone. NPR’s Mountain Stage  compared his “eloquent, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor, while Relix celebrated  his “poetic Americana,” and The Boston Herald raved that “he’s made a career of confident, danceable  positivity.” This show also features Brooks Forsyth. Hailing from the mountains of North Carolina, Brooks  Forsyth is a musician of Appalachia and beyond. He began busking on street corners in his hometown of Boone,  NC and has since become a Nashville recording artist.
