MANCHESTER, NH – An elderly woman was attacked by a dog as she walked around her Normand Street neighborhood Nov. 10.
Police say at about 4 p.m. Aneila Borun, 88, was walking in her neighborhood when she encountered another woman and young girl walking with a leashed dog, described as a brown boxer.
According to Borun, the young girl either let go of the leash or lost control of the leash and the boxer charged toward Borun and started attacking her.
Borun suffered multiple bites before the woman accompanying the girl regained control of the dog. They then left the area.
Borun’s son took her to the emergency room to seek medical treatment for her multiple dog bites.
Police say it is unknown who the dog owner is, but they believe they are not residents of the East Side neighborhood. The boxer appeared to be thin and possibly between four and seven years old.
