Woman, 88, attacked by dog on Normand Street

MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ An elderly womanย was attacked by a dog as she walked ย around her Normand Street neighborhood Nov. 10.

Police say at about 4 p.m.ย Aneila Borun, 88, was walking in her neighborhoodย when she encountered another woman and young girl walking withย a leashed dog, described as a brown boxer.

According to Borun,ย the youngย girlย either let go of the leash or lost control of the leash and the boxer chargedย toward Borun and started attacking ย her.

Borun suffered multiple bites before the woman accompanying the girlย regained control of theย dog. They then left the area.

Borunโ€™s son took her to the emergency room to seek medical treatment for her multiple dog bites.

Police say it is unknown who the dog owner is, but they believe they are not residents of the East Side neighborhood. The boxer appeared to be thin and possibly between four and seven years old.
