Woman charged with hit-and-run that left relative injured

MANCHESTER, NH – On June 3, 2026, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Manchester Police responded to a Brook Street address for a  reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival, officers determined the crash was the result of  a domestic incident.

Officers located a 59-year-old woman who had sustained a serious leg injury. The preliminary  investigation revealed that the woman had been involved in an argument with a relative, identified as 29- year-old Jamie Spears of Manchester. 

During the dispute, Spears got into a vehicle while the victim was standing in front of it. Spears then  accelerated, striking and running over the other woman. Spears then drove away. 

Responding officers immediately rendered aid and applied a tourniquet to the victim’s injured leg. She  was transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  

Later in the day, Spears turned herself in at the Manchester Police Department and was taken into  custody. 

Spears was charged with First Degree Assault and Conduct After an Accident.
