MANCHESTER, NH – Ashley Rollins, 21, of Manchester, was charged with heroin possession after she was found unconscious behind the wheel of a car parked at Livingston Park, with the engine running, over the weekend.
On March 28 just before 11:30 a.m. Officer Tyler Gagne observed a Dodge Charger parked and running at Livingston Park. He realized the woman seated behind the wheel was unconscious.
As Officer Gagne approached the driver’s side of the car, he allegedly noticed a needle in the vehicle and track marks on the woman’s arm. He contacted an ambulance as he banged on her window, in the event she had a serious medical condition or was suffering from a possible overdose. However, Rollins woke up before the ambulance arrived on scene and was medically cleared a short time later.
Rollins was coherent when she spoke to Officer Gagne, who had already contacted Officer Ryan Brandreth and his K-9 partner Colt to conduct a search of the vehicle. The search netted .8 grams of heroin and several hypodermic needles inside of the vehicle. Rollins was taken into custody and charged with possession of a narcotic drug (heroin).
She was released on $2,500 cash bail and will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on May 1, 2015.
