MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ย Manchester Police detectives are working diligently on anย aggravated felonious sexual assault case involving a 29-year-old woman whoย told policeย she was walking home around midnight July 29 from the inner city when she was approached by a man she described as an African-Americanย male, about age 17, with a thin build.

The victim said the two of them conversed as she walked south toward her residence from an inner city convenience store. At some point her attackerย physically assaulted her and dragged her into a wooded area where he continued to assault her. The long ordeal finally ended when she was able to flee the area and flag down a passing vehicle.

The woman had obvious signs of physical trauma as a result of the attack andย was taken to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The case remains under investigation. No further details are available at this time, police said.

This is the second sexual assault reported to police in as many days. On July 28 police arrested Rick Morrisseyย after he was discovered by police with his alleged victim in a church yard on the city’s West Side.
