MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ย The 44th Annual MLK Jr. Community Celebration will take place Jan. 19 at Memorial High School, 1 Crusader Way. The event, organized annually by the Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition, is a day-long event, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Everyone is invited to come out for a celebration of community in the spirit of the legacy of Civil Rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who would have been 97 on Jan. 15.

Highlights include musical performances by a community choir and special recognition for this year’s MLK Jr. Award winner, the Hon. Melanie Levesque of Nashua, who has the distinction of serving as New Hampshire’s first African-American State Senator.

All are welcome for a day of celebration, reflection and empowerment.
