
CONCORD, NH โ The Manchester resident accused of attempting to kill a U.S. Border Patrol agent drove off when asked by the officer if they had any other name other than Blu Zeke Daly, according to a police affidavit.
Daly, a/k/a Cullan Zeke Daly, 26, of Manchester, had their name change in February 2024 from Cullan Zeke Daly to Blu Zeke Daly, according to records on file in Rockingham County Probate Court. At the time, Daly lived in Londonderry. The reason Daly gave for the name change request was โI am nonbinary.โ
Daly is charged with one count each of attempted murder of a federal officer and assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon. He was shot in the incident and was hospitalized under guard.
According to the affidavit of FBI agent Paul Mullen, on file in U.S. District Court, on Feb. 21, 2026 about 11:30 p.m. the border patrol agent, who is not identified in court records, encountered Daly in Stewartstown near the Canadian Border. Daly was driving a gray 2012 Honda Civic.
Daly provided the officer with his driverโs license and then the officer asked if Daly had used any other names.
Daly immediately drove off, according to Mullen, and the officer followed at a distance.
Shortly after midnight on Feb. 22, 2026, Daly drove to the Pittsburg Port of Entry at 6293 North Main St. and pulled up to the gate. The crossing was closed and the gate was locked.
The Border Patrol agent activated his emergency lights and exited his vehicle. According to the court document, Daly began turning his car around while simultaneously firing his gun at the agent who returned fire, striking Daly. Daly lost control of the Honda which ran onto a snowbank.
Investigators later searched the Honda, recovering a Smith & Wesson SD9 2.0 handgun and assorted ammunition. A round of โexpended ammunition that appears to have been fired by Daly,โ was recovered in the officerโs vehicle.
Daly was hospitalized for treated of his injury.
Each of the charges carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
The FBI is leading the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander S. Chen is prosecuting the case.
