MANCHESTER, NH – After 16 years of dedicated service to Ward 3, Alderman Pat Long has endorsed Dana Dexter to succeed him on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Long, who is focusing his efforts as State Senator for District 20, praised Dexter’s understanding of the community and his readiness to lead from day one.

“When a new Alderman takes over, there’s always a learning curve,” said Long. “Dana Dexter has less of that because he truly understands this community. I wholeheartedly endorse him and am grateful that he’s decided to step forward to serve. I wish him the very best.”

Dexter, a veteran law enforcement leader with more than 20 years of service in New Hampshire, expressed gratitude for Long’s leadership and for his years of commitment to Ward 3 residents.

“Pat Long’s service has strengthened this community,” Dexter said. “From improving infrastructure and supporting working families to always being accessible to residents, his impact will be felt for years to come. I am honored by his support and look forward to building on the foundation he has set for Ward 3 while preparing our city for the next generation.”

Long, a lifelong Manchester resident and former Ironworkers’ Union business manager, has been a steady advocate for working families and neighborhood investment since first being elected in 2009. His 16 years of service have helped guide the city through growth, revitalization, and critical community improvements.

Building on Long’s years of leadership, Dexter’s campaign focuses on continuing Manchester’s progress with practical solutions that keep our city safe, connected, and responsive to residents and businesses alike.

“As Ward 3 continues to grow and evolve, my focus is right here in Manchester, on the issues that affect our daily lives,” Dexter added. “Local elections matter because they shape the things that impact us every day, our streets, safety, neighborhoods, and how our tax dollars are spent. Manchester is moving forward, and it’s time to build on that progress with leadership that keeps us focused on what works and what’s next. On November 4, I ask for your vote so together we can keep our city headed in the right direction.”
