Easter Sunday is a Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, accepted by Christians as the Son of God. This is the divergence between followers of the Old Testament and the New.
Symbolically, Palm Sunday is a declaration of victory over sin. It marks the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry as, this week would be his last week before dying on Good Friday. All of the events of Holy Week would be understood more clearly after Christ’s resurrection, Sunday morning. Palm Sunday was a procession of a king of another kind. One that would die to save His people, and die to pay for the sins of the whole world.

Before God renamed Abram “Abraham,” he was in the process of remaking him. Yahweh’s first prophet Abram, was chosen to leave his country and his culture along with everything else in his life outside of his wife Sarai, nephew Lot and their possessions. God’s word came to him in a vision as detailed in Genesis Chapter 15.

Everyone should have a brother Bruce. Mine turns 55 today and has been the best brother anyone could hope for. I have four living brothers, our youngest brother committed suicide in 2016. Bruce is now the baby of the family. Recently we mailed him a check as a small token of compensation for work he’s done over the decades. He should have cashed it a week ago, and will soon, hopefully. But that’s Bruce for you – he is always ready to help and never wants anything in return.
Noah was likely celebrating life and probably suffering survivor’s guilt, after losing so many loved ones. Family associates and neighbors all gone, along with the animals and so many other living things. His heart must have broken at times, such a time to be alive but also a time of great loss.
God chose Noah and his family to restart the world. He decided to blot out all of mankind except for Noah during “The Great Flood.”

As a fan of Boston sports teams, and also a guy who likes studying the Bible, for the last couple of months or more I’ve been focused on comparisons between “Joseph Prince of Egypt” and Thomas the “GOAT” of New England. Both of them as young men had really big dreams. And both of them were hated by their brothers for dreams so lofty that would lead to tremendous dynasties.
Surviving the inflammation in my tongue and throat may have happened without their work, but there is no way I could have received better care and quicker results than what they provided.
