The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has joined the Sanford, Maine, police department in the search for a missing 2-year-old and her mother who have not been heard from since late June.

Freesia is a “facility dog,” rather than a service dog, which means she belongs to a community, rather than one individual. “While our service dogs profoundly affect the life of one person, our facility dogs touch the lives of many,” said Kathy Metz, executive director of ACTS, in a news release announcing the donation.
The FBI Violent Criminal Apprehension Profile’s purpose is to share information with law enforcement across the country to track and apprehend “violent serial offenders,” according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Local law enforcement can request that missing people, among other potential victims, be added to the base.
The site has been on the Superfund priority list since 1981 and this year’s review will be its seventh. It’s one of four New Hampshire sites that will undergo the legally required five-year EPA review this year. Superfund sites in Plaistow, Dover and Milford also will be reviewed.
New Hampshire residents will have to get their act together if they want to compete with their New England neighbors when it comes to brain skill smarts.
