A Goffstown man scammed Hannaford Supermarket out of more than $1,500 worth of food by scanning universal product code (UPC) labels for 33-cent Kool-Aid packs instead of the much pricier UPCs affixed to expensive meats and seafood, according to indictments.

A former Concord High School business teacher, who previously was fired from Southern New Hampshire University for inappropriate texts he sent to a college student, is being held without bail on 17 counts of prostitution and manufacturing child pornography involving a high school student.

George England, who was living at the homeless shelter at 199 Manchester St. on Wednesday when the Elm Street Citizens Bank was robbed on Wednesday, remains hospitalized at Catholic Medical Center.  On Friday, a bail hearing was held for England in Hillsborough County Superior Court Northern District.  England listened in via telephone from the hospital while attorneys appeared via WebEx.
