Today heat indices may reach 97 degrees for a few hours in portions of southern New Hampshire during the afternoon with temperatures in the low 90s. Tomorrow with a warm and moist air mass in place, heavy rain will be possible as showers and thunderstorms move through.
Low pressure passes well to our north today and tomorrow with a warming trend. Temperatures today in the 80s, tomorrow in the low 90s.
A warm front lifts northward across New Hampshire today, bringing warm and more humid weather to the area. The warm front passage may produce scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

A warm front over New Hampshire will result in heavy rainfall this morning. A few thunderstorms are possible as well. 1 to 3 inches of rain is likely which could result in flash flooding. Watch for flooding on streets and poor drainage areas.
High pressure will bring fair weather today and will drift offshore during the day. Highs will be into the low 80s. Tonight a warm front will produce some rainfall, a period of heavy rain may accompany this front tonight into tomorrow.
With Elsa over the Canadian Maritimes, the weather for the weekend and through much of next week will feature fairly typical summer conditions, with scattered mainly afternoon showers or thunderstorms most days.
Elsa`s circulation tracks through the Gulf of Maine today before exiting to Nova Scotia early tomorrow. A drying trend is expected over the weekend as weak high pressure builds over the Northeast.
