A front stalled to our south will result in cooler weather along with more showers and thunderstorms. Tomorrow tropical rainstorm Elsa will produce gusty wind & rain.
Today very warm and humid with sunshine mixing with clouds. During the afternoon thunderstorms can bring hail and damaging winds.
A warm and humid airmass builds into the region today. Heat index values may reach the mid-90s. Widely scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening.
High pressure moves southeast of New England with a southwest flow developing. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with moderating temperatures near 80.
Cool and showery for today, but should see showers winding down in the afternoon, with some possible breaks of sun late in the day. A warming trend begins tomorrow.
Looking ahead: Turning warmer and more humid Monday night through midweek, with a cold front bringing a risk for thunderstorms Wednesday.
