If re-elected, what steps would you endorse to address the issue of homelessness in the city?

Much has been done so far. I would like to see homeless people become self-sufficient. Getting jobs and becoming independent from such a lifestyle. Of course, getting regular housing.

If re-elected, what steps would you endorse to address the issue of housing costs?

Housing ordinances and regulations need to be more flexible. This will help increase the availability of housing. Also mskinh housing accessible to low & medium income people.

If re-elected, what steps would you endorse to address the issue ofย attracting and retaining quality city employees?ย 

Creating proactive recruitment through both printed & internet media communication. Also, try collaboration with different business & public sectors to create job fairs within the city & statewide.

What is your perspective on the city’s roads, transit system and parking? If you believe improvement is needed, how would you accomplish that?ย 

Collaboration between the City departments and the board of Mayor & Aldermen and the state and federal government is needed to make it better. Working together will add improvement to the progress made on the City.

What is your opinion on the city’s parks, library and entertainment offerings/public events? If improvement is needed, what should be done?ย 

Progress is being made among all parks, City library & entertainment. The city can and should continue to be creative by working collaborative. Embracing new initiatives can help improve the parks, the City library, & the entertainment sector.

What is your opinion on the city’s policies regarding property taxes and other fees (i.e. – pet licenses, parking meters, etc.)ย 

There needs to be fairness among all taxes. Property taxes are not an exception. Both the city elected representatives at the state level need to continue to focus on local control that favors the cities & town’s population to lower fees & property taxes.

What are your thoughts on the city’s business climate and how would you attract more businesses to come to Manchester or convince more people to start businesses in Manchester?

Efforts have been made through the city of Manchester’s Economic Development department. The board of Mayor & Aldermen need to be creative & proactive by helping create a welcoming business environment within the city of Manchester

What is your opinion of the state of education in Manchester and what should the relationship be between the Board of School Committee and Board of Mayor and Aldermen?

A bipartisan environment needs to exist among all the interested parties: school board and board of Mayor and Aldermen of the city of Manchester. This will help create initiatives that’ll benefit the educational field within the city.
