A key regulatory panel is taking the first step to potentially reverse a controversial decision which allowed Eversource, the state’s largest energy provider, to raise its fees and change its ratemaking process.
In an effort to enhance electric reliability, Eversource is launching a targeted vegetation management initiative to remove dead, dying, and at-risk Ash trees along several of New Hampshire’s heavily traveled roadways. This proactive work spans multiple communities, including Westmoreland and Londonderry, and focuses on areas where electric lines serve large numbers of homes and businesses.
Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1837, and union allies, will return to Eversource NH headquarters, 780 North Commercial street, Manchester, NH, for an informational picket on Wednesday, September 3, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Additionally, IBEW 1837 will be holding a digital picket on Thursday, September 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
As part of its everyday work to provide electricity to customers and communities, Eversource will be moving a large transformer from Hooksett to one of the company’s substations in Manchester.
