On November 4th, Ward 1 will choose our next Alderman. While I believe both candidates are good men, I look forward to voting for Bryce Kaw-uh for Ward 1 Alderman and encourage you to do the same.
Reductions in federal funding of Medicaid will force NH to have to make difficult choices. It could mean cuts to crucial Medicaid programs like the Katie Beckett option and most likely will increase restrictions on eligibility, increase service limitations, increase and normalize institutionalization, increase waitlist time for waiver services, and more.
The Republican party’s beliefs are troubling to me on many levels and no longer represent me on some major issues. Believing the Republican party has lost their way, is why I will be crossing over and supporting Maxine Mosley for the House of Representatives in District 39 (Manchester Wards 6, 8 & 9). While the Republicans have spent the last few years focused on culture wars, I believe we need to get back to basic governance.
It became clear to me then that Jon Kiper, the only one of them to speak up on behalf of the people, is the kind of governor we deserve—one who respects everyone’s dignity and individual freedom enough to act with his feet and speak to our face.
It’s time for bullies like Levasseur to step aside and make way for leadership that is ethical, productive, and focused solely on the well being of all citizens because he himself has proven time and time again to be utterly incapable of doing so.Â
