MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ Adam Forand, owner of Kaneโ€™s Auto Sales & Service, located at 2150 Candia Road, will once again be honoring families in need with a special event set for Jun 23. Family Service Day โ€“ Keeping Cars Kickinโ€™ยฎ is a national program designed to help automotive businesses share their expertise and give back to the community.

Kaneโ€™s will be providing general automotive maintenance and car-care education at no charge on Saturday to families in the Manchester community that need help caring for their vehicles. Families are pre-selected and referred by nonprofit partner, Manchester Police Athletic Leauge (MPAL), an agency dedicated to connecting police officers with community youth to foster positive relationships and community connectedness.

Even the dogs had a blast at Family Service Day 2017.

The community is welcome to stop by between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for family fun, including food, games and entertainment. Car service is by appointment only.

โ€œWe believe it is part of our responsibility to give back to our community,โ€ย  Forand said. โ€œOn June 23, we are donating our facilities and automotive expertise as a way of helping families in our great city of Manchester. Our local business sponsors are also helping to give back by donating supplies, food, and materials for kidโ€™s activities. By sharing our talents and resources, we are providing a โ€˜hand upโ€™ to families who need the help at this moment. Our goal in hosting a Family Service Day โ€“ Keeping Cars Kickinโ€™ event is for families to leave with more reliable transportation and a sense of security that comes from having a better understanding of how their vehicles work.โ€

Family Service Day โ€“ Keeping Cars Kickinโ€™ is also about celebrating families. Kaneโ€™s has planned various fun activities for children including a bouncy house, games and arts and crafts to keep the children entertained while the family car is being serviced. Event sponsors include St. Maryโ€™s Bank, Oโ€™Reillyโ€™s Auto Parts, Town Fair Tire, and Village Idiotz.

You can join the event on Kane’s Auto Sales & Automotive Facebook page.

About Family Service Day
