February 2026 grand jury indictments from Hillsborough County North

Hillsborough County Superior Court North

MANCHESTER, NH – A former charter school teacher is under indictment on sexual assault charges involving a former student that, on conviction, could send him to prison for up to 30 years.

Alexander Boston, 31, of 23 Bonney St., Pembroke, was indicted by a Hillsborough County Superior Court Northern District grand jury on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, position of authority, and one charge of witness tampering.

Boston taught at charter school in Pembroke when, police said, he engaged in a sexual relationship with a former student, who was 15-years-old.

According to the indictments, between May 22 and July 22, 2025, Boston engaged in sex acts with the former student in Goffstown.  When he learned an investigation was underway, Boston allegedly tried to get the teen to withhold information.

James Drago, 49, of 37 Chestnut Hill Road, Amherst, was indicted on charges of manslaughter and two counts of reckless conduct.  On March 20, 2025 on I-293 in Manchester, Drago is accused of accelerating his black Cadillac SRX into a red Ford F-150 operated by 72-year-old John Vangelder of Salem, causing his death.  Vangelder was thrown from his truck.

Jared G Masseur, 41, of 32 Prescott St., Nashua, already under indictment on seven felony charges in connection with an incident in which Bedford police officer David Bendway-Fongemie was shot in the leg with his service-issued gun during a struggle, is now facing additional charges of first-degree assault; second-degree assault; resisting arrest/detention, serious bodily injury occurring, and willful interference with a police dog.

The incident happened at 12:53 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2025 when Bedford patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle, occupied by a man and woman, parked in a lot adjacent to Country Inn & Suites on South River Road.   The officers approached the vehicle and the driver, later identified as Masseur, fled the area while the woman remained in the vehicle and cooperated with officers.

When police caught up to Masseur and attempted to arrest him, he allegedly resisted and began to fight the officers.  During the struggle with two officers, police said Masseur reached for Bendwy-Fongemie’s holstered Glock 9 mm gun which discharged striking the officer in the leg.

A K-9 officer used a remote device to release K-9 Odin from his cruiser and the police dog assisted in Masseur being taken into custody.   Masseur was later treated at a local hospital for dog bites.

Bendway-Fongemie suffered a shoulder injury as well as the gunshot wound to the leg.

Last year, Masseur was indicted on charges of resisting arrest/detention; taking a firearm from a law enforcement officer; first-degree assault and second-degree assault for allegedly shooting the officer in the leg; felon in possession of a deadly weapon; maiming a police dog for purposely mistreating K-9 Odin when he put him in a headlock, and reckless conduct.
